Of popping,teachers,narnia and starbucks

Classes have resumed yesterday ... My timetable is set that I have 4 hours break on Mon, Thurs and Fri, and only one class for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Coming to coll just to attend one class, is really money-consuming.. Dad told me to study during those long breaks... well, I can see they will be of good use when Assignments hit in, but yesterday's break was spent watching So You Think You Can Dance on Christine's laptop.

The dancers were very good, watching that will make you not want to watch the one shown here. Not saying that local talent is lacking, just say that in America you've more people, and different sorts of dance exposure. They call those guys who swirl around with their heads "Bboyer ", and there's even such a thing as "Popping" whereby includes alot of jerking and robotic movements.. which I find really entertaining hehe =)

Last Friday was Teacher's Day.. Beat text me the night before whether I would want to pay a visit to our teachers and see a friend perform .. since I had some time to kill before going over to grandpa's.. hmm why not? =)




























As we reached the school gates, I was really happy.. that I was back in school! haha.. Nothing much as been changed.. as usual we were welcomed by hordes of prefects hovering the school gate .. ( always thought this as one of their antics to skip speeches and classes .. tsk tsk)


Went to the dewan, and James Too was already on stage .. it was really hilarious, cause I couldn't hear a single thing going on stage .. and they were screaming and lots of commotion was going on.. Beat said she was told it was to revolve around the good and bad guys.. and James was the gang leader... haha.. that explained his outfit..

He was a good actor.. I think it runs in the Too family blood..


























James is Elwin's younger brother who's actually much taller.. haha. Nevermind Elwin, its all good haha. Beat said he looks better than Wang Lee Hom.. how can??? But I can say the girls in school were definitely only gazing at him during the entire drama.... Starstruck I guess..



We went teacher hunting thereafter ..

we bummed into our displinary teacher- Mr.John Toh..

" teacher, you've lost weight"

"ya.. hard job .. ( pauses, looks at us) . Both of you have to work on it ar... "

" hehehehehahaha" ( was our response )

AFter he left we gave each other a sad glance ..


Our EST teacher, has upgraded her desk.. now she has this long mirror directly facing her.. said she " I am vain. I like seeing myself" Reminds me of Zan.. my current lecturer haha.

We searched high and lo, passed every class room and floor in search of Pn.Manjit, our beloved English teacher.. but she was no where to be seen... called her, and she actually brought her son to the clinic for a checkup.. too bad we couldn't see her.. out of the bunch I miss her the most!

Met up with our form 5 form teacher -Pn.Nurul Jannah..

Wah, semakin besar semakin lawa ... =)

Tapi pun semakin bulat .... -_-"

I don't think I like coming back to school anymore.. ....



Brought Beat to CF .. Mr Loh came to speak, truly inspiring what he shared about his life story as being handicapped visually... how God worked in his life.. he brought his Bible with him which was in Braille.. its only the book of Proverbs yet it was quite thick..
























I asked whether which book he brings to church, since the idea of carrying 66 thick books was definitely .. he said he usually doesn't bring any to church... he'll just listen ...



Diverting......

Beat got free tickets for Narnia! My 2nd time watching, and I still can't get enough of it, cause this time that I'm watching it, tones of subliminal messages just pop up ! Amazing how the message of Christ is being embedded in the show... =)

Since Beat and Cheng Yee works in Starbucks, we got the privilage of free coffee tasting sessions!It wasn't the coffee that I was looking forward to, but our free pick of Coffee Cheesecake to go along with the coffee drinking. ;) What a day of freebies!


After Cheng Yee brought the reshly brewed coffee.. she took out a huge thick book, and started explaining the origins of the Coffee..



























































Something like its from Kenya, and the beans are really juicy, and tastes like grapefruit.. hmm..

Then she proceeded to the "Coffee drinking procedure"

1. COver the cup with three fingers
2. Slurp the coffee. This is done to ensure the liquid covers all areas of your tongue

before the 3rd step was announced, she was called back to work .. haha.

So we waited... and waited.. eyes all fixed on the slice of cake..

Me and Jas " Can we start eating? Or do we have to wait for her order/ steps "

BEat " hmm.. (ponders a moment )

"lets EAT!!"



So we happily dug into the cake.. hardly giving our cups of coffee much attention.. yummm =)






















Chocolate Cheesecake


Honestly speaking, this cuppa doesn't taste grapefruity or anything closely defined as "juicy" .. It just tasted like Kopi O .

Beat was quick to defend.. Eh.. "Our coffee very good quality one k.. but of cause usually we don't care about the coffee only the cake! "


All in all, great day I had .. and now I'll just have to refresh my last semester's result page....
